san pedro de atacama
so after crossing from bolivia back into chile we made the short journey to san pedro de atacama for the weekend. we absolutely loved this place when we visited previously so decided on our way back to argentina we would return here with gaga.
it was only a short visit, 2 days and 2 nights. we had planned 3 but with the cancellation of our salt flat tour we arrived one day behind. we still managed to see the best of this stunning desert town & the surrounding areas.
the first day was all about relaxation in the sun. after bolivia we needed that badly and some good food so when evening came we treated ourselves to a nice feed. an early night was had by all and the next morning we set off on our bikes to the valley of death to give my dad a go at sandboarding. once again tom stole the show and pulled off some great moves on the board. the rest of us tried !!! we did however get another glimpse at this amazing desert and climb the dunes to see the incredible views it has to offer ....
from here we took a bus the following day up over the andes and into argentina ....
